On Monday night, officers from the Arlington Police Department were called to the 3100 block of Langston Boulevard to investigate a reported shooting that left one man with a gunshot wound.

Investigators say that the gunshot victim and a passenger were driving on Richmond Highway and Memorial Avenue when a second car pulled up beside them and a verbal dispute over their driving broke out, ending only when a passenger in the second vehicle took out a handgun and began firing rounds.

The man who was struck had to be treated by first responders and rushed to the hospital with "serious injuries," though he was listed in stable condition on Tuesday afternoon. The second car then sped away.

The driver of the second car was described as being a Black woman with shoulder-length hair, while the passenger was a Black man who was wearing a face mask. At the time they were driving a black sedan.

No additional information was provided by investigators. More details are expected to be released.

Anyone with information regarding the incident has been asked to contact the department's tip line by calling (703) 228-4180.
